Q: What do I need to run an online support group?
A:
Facilitators
Like a traditional face-to-face support group, you'll need a facilitator to oversee your support group meetings. Usually there are two facilitators per session, but it depends on the size of your groups and your organization's policies. These facilitators are usually volunteers who have been trained by your organization on the skills needed to effectively facilitate and communicate online.
Supervisior/Administratior
Facilitators report to a supervisor, who, in most cases can also act as the administrator and takes on the responsibility of running, maintaining and managing your online support services. However, that role can be spread among several people. Administration and Management is not a full-time position, and in most cases can be part of an expanded role for an existing support services co-ordinator.

Q: Which browsers can I use with uMeet?
A:
Any of the following web browsers work with uMeet: IE 7 (PC), Firefox 2 or later (Mac, PC, or Linux), Safari 2 or later (Mac).
So if you're using Internet Explorer 6 or below you will need to upgrade your browser for uMeet to look and work the way its meant to. Another important point is javascript toolbars. uMeet is a modern web application and so is quite reliant on javascript to display and update sections correctly. If you're having some weird problems in the chat window or other areas it may be because you have a javascript search bar installed or some other third party installation. So we recommend you uninstall any javascript toolbars before using uMeet.
